Job Description: Project Officer

Project Officer, Llansamlet, Swansea (Hybrid)

Our client is a Global Cyber Security Training organisation that has secured several large contracts to deliver various Projects/Programmes across UK, Europe and further afield.

As a result they are looking to recruit a Project Officer to provide comprehensive support to ensure the delivery of these Projects on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme and Product Development Support

  • Support the scoping of potential projects and agree action plans with their line manager.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support in programme design and development activities.
  • Work closely with their line manager to ensure programme schedules are appropriate for regional requirements and local considerations.
  • Contribute to product development discussions and support the identification and assessment of potential market opportunities.

Project Coordination

  • Provide project coordination and administrative support across all programmes.
  • Coordinate the successful setup, implementation and delivery of programmes and pilot activities, including licensing, courses, programme resources, webinars, partnerships, communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and organised project documentation and records.
  • Develop and maintain effective programme information systems, ensuring robust document management and version control processes are in place.
  • Support the implementation and mobilisation of new projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and track programme expenditure relating to their areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure activities and deliverables remain aligned with agreed programme objectives.
  • Identify, record and appropriately report risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Capture, document and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to their line manager in line with agreed reporting schedules.
  • Demonstrate programme impact by collating case studies, success stories, performance data and relevant statistics.

Experience and Skills required:

  • Minimum of 2/3 years’ experience working on Projects.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with ideally a Project Management qualification eg PRINCE 2 or Agile.
  • Experience in Relationship Management and strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel, mainly London to attend events as and when required

Education and Qualifications

  • Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Relevant knowledge, skills and capability gained through education, vocational training, professional development and/or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working across different countries, regions, cultures and/or time zones.
  • Experience supporting education, training, skills development or similar programmes.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, working 3 days in office, 2 remotely
