Job Description: Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant, £30,000pa, Cardiff (4 day working week)

Working for this Global Engineering specialist you will take responsibility for the Finance transactions on behalf of the company.

Main duties as Finance Assistant include:

  • Responsible for the invoicing of goods/services to UK & USA customers
  • Reviewing, processing and invoicing of travel expenses to customers
  • Chasing UK and USA customers for upcoming and overdue invoices
  • Bank Reconciliations on Xero/Quickbooks including credit cards
  • Inputting and filing of overhead bills onto Xero/Quickbooks.
  • Creating a weekly payroll sheet, checking relevant wage sheets and inputting to payroll
  • Responsible for completion of account applications for new customers
  • Responsible for the financial aspect of project archiving and obtaining sign off from the Engineering Manager
  • Deputise for the Office Manager during planned and unplanned periods of absence

Experience and Qualifications as Finance Assistant:

  • Knowledge of Xero and/or Quickbooks would be preferred
  • Preferably knowledge of Scoro project management software
  • Competent in MS Office
  • Self-disciplined and capable of working under pressure
  • Able to work independently and using own initiative
