Conveyancing Assistant

Our client is a modern-day Property management company based in Cardiff with family values and an impressive knowledge of the local property management market.

About the Role
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will be responsible for liaising with both vendor and buyers’ solicitors and dealing with residents’ day-to-day enquiries. Supporting the Property management department, you will provide great customer service with a positive approach and work towards set targets.

This role would also suit a Conveyancing graduate who is looking to kick start their career within this area.

Duties of the Role

  • Provide an efficient and responsive telephone service to customers.
  • Dealing with transfers and solicitors enquires, completing LPE1 & FME1 forms (Liaising with Property managers).
  • Chasing solicitors acting for the perspective parties, recording progress, sending documents to clients for signature, preparing and completing share certificates, deed of Covenants, receipting notices of transfer/mortgage/re-mortgage.
  • Registering information on company’s house.
  • Liaising with customers, solicitors, mortgage brokers and monitoring and tracking each transfer.
  • Scanning, and filing incoming correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, tenants, solicitors and accountants.
  • Managing the day-to-day general management of properties.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in either property management or preferably Conveyancing.

Skills required:

  • An excellent communicator, both over the phone and with written correspondence.
  • Good computer skills especially word and excel.
  • Ability to build a rapport with clients.
  • Confident, resilient and have a “can-do” attitude.
  • Organised and have a great work ethic.
  • Professional and to be able to work under pressure / deadlines.
