Job Description: AV Operations Technician Manager
Working for this Global Training provider, the successful applicant will be responsible for the management and development of a small team of IT/AV Technicians, providing expert 360 technical support including Network and AV set up across a variety of Training Events both in person and virtually across UK & Europe.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Remote and on-site assessments of venue networks and Internet infrastructure.
- Serve as on-site and remote technical point of contact on behalf of the company
- Communicate with on-site personnel and third-party vendors to convey network configuration requirements in advance of events.
- Troubleshoot venue network or Internet issues that arise during events.
- Direct management and development of Operations Technicians
- Ensuring that the company’s IT assets are inventoried, safely stored, and kept up to date
Skills and Experience Required:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience installing and configuring computer networking equipment.
- Proficient in identifying and troubleshooting availability and performance issues in a live environment.
- Competent in wired/wireless network concepts, hardware, cabling and best practices.
- Proficient in configuring enterprise grade routing and switching hardware.
- Experienced with network monitoring and traffic shaping solutions
- Good understanding and experience with intelligent routing protocols, IaaS/SaaS, and virtualization.
- Flexible to travel to London and across Europe as and when required
